1.有一种说法是ability和capability有区别。
但是确实看不出具体有什么区别，这俩词给我的感觉就是去区分中文“才能”和“能力”两个词的subtle difference一样。gmat考试中区分这种细微差别感觉没什么意义。
2.另一种说法是C选项的in dealing with…有可能会修饰到diminish上面去。
原句子想表达的是：因为他破坏了呼吸系统处理其他污染物的能力。当in dealing修饰到diminish上时，句意变成：因为它破坏呼吸系统的能力，在处理其他污染物的时候。此时会产生歧义。
不知道这样的理解有没有错呢？

我觉得可能ability和capability之间的区别不大，两个选项的区别更可能在于通顺连贯的程度。
C大概输在capability和in dealing隔太远了，不如A连贯？

3，剩下A,E,especially和specially没区别，另一处差异：觉得the capability of比system’s ability 意思更清楚，杀A选D

以前讲解时都说E的diminishing指代不明，不知道指代的是sulfur dioxide还是pollutant。
可是从语义上来说这句话的意思是二氧化硫，一种导致酸雨的主要物质，是一种污染物，因为...
从上面来看二氧化硫就等价于污染物啊，所以diminish的发起者指二氧化硫还是污染物，不存在指代不明的问题啊，亦或者说其发起者指二氧化硫还是污染物都是说的通的。
所以，针对动词发起者这个问题，想问英老师：是否只要是它所指代的名词不同就是指代不明呢？
