我重复听了几次讲解，麻烦还请老师确认一下我这么理解对么？
之所以CDE里的代词they不对，是因为they不能指代回前面的starfish。因为comma+and if把整个句子隔成了两个clause，后半部分的代词必须要服从后半部分里的名词one arm/the animal（根据语义肯定是one arm），而不能跳跃去指代句子里and if前面半部分里的名词starfish，所以要用单数代词。这么理解对么？考场上见到类似情况，可以通过这个规律（and 后面出现的代词只能指代and后面部分里的名词）来杀掉选项吗？ 还有一点没太听明白的是overcompensating和growing的关系，它们之间不是因果关系么？B里面用and连接不就是变成并列了么？为什么并列对呢？ 我以为是先overcompesating，再growing，有先后因果关系，所以选了C
