这题我选了d。 排除a，是我觉得这个语意上avoid和content也很重要。 排除b是我觉得这个并列关系不是很对吧。划线句内是动词并列我可以理解，这个划线句后面这个and perhaps我就不明白了。用and的时候不是在最后一个并列对象前加，and吗，那这个perhaps和前面的动词不并列啊。 c么，一塌糊涂。 d的话，我才想plus contend的plus等于and，那我觉得蛮对。语意上比起endure我觉得avoid更重要吧。 e里mars不能用who，who形容人。 所以我就不明白了。
