老师，C选项同D选项相比，它好在哪里呀？

想请问以下Tina老师，之前老师说比较词在哪里就是比什么，此题 lower circulation 会误导比较的是circulation，是不是这个方法在这不太适用，还是说状语比较本来就不太好用比较词看，谢谢老师

想问一下，lower circulation in six months,平行过来不就是XX （lower的 那个东西）in a similar period 吗………所以就选了D

这题对于B有些迷惑，C的比较正确能看出来，D没有C好也知道。就是想问下B的问题。 than a similar period's其实就是指circulation，circulation在之前的6个月和相同时期的circulation在一年前。没有感觉有什么明显的问题。然后这里in the sixth months和C选项的in a similar period比较很好，这点我认同。但是如果B在最后加个in，变成a similar period‘s in是不是语法上也就对了呢？有些迷惑，请老师详细解答下B选项，谢谢！ PS：这系统有bug，我电脑上答疑器能搜到有回答的版本，微信上搜出来题本身都不见了。题是这个： Most of the country’s biggest daily newspapers had lower circulation in the six months from October 1995 through March 1996 than a similar period a year earlier. a similar period a similar period’s in a similar period that in a similar period that of a similar period
