此题第二个that与第一个that平行，都是指asteroid；如果是这样的话，if后面的it再指代一遍asteroid不是重复了吗？之前有一道类似的题目也是因为这个原因排除的，类似的题目是In 1713, Alexander Pope began his translation....我错选了pronounced it的选项；老师给的解释是that已经指代a work，所以不能再用it。回到我有问题的这个题，我选的是B，根据语义，后面讲的是另外一件事情，所以跟主句平行就可以；而且因为说的是一种可能性，所以用虚拟语气。请老师指教，谢谢。
