老师好！我想问一个通过这道题联想到的问题：whether, whether or not和if的用法，在GMAT语法题中，（1）是不是if只能当“如果”来使用且后面一定要接if的consequence？（2）是不是更倾向于单用whether而不加or not？谢谢老师！

金老师～这道题我还是学选的b，我的思维过程是这样的：排除de留下abc，abc最大的差异在于ac用的presuming 而b用的if it is presumed that，从简洁性上来说，b有点赘余，但是从语法角度来说，acpresuming的逻辑主语都是traces肯定不对，所以遵循correct 然后才是concise选b。并且我觉得can在这里翻译也很通啊，如果这样的生命形式存在，those traces 是否能够仍然存在 exist…翻译都这么翻为什么这里就说这里就不要can呢？我这个思维过程是哪里出了问题呀😣
