请王文静老师回答，谢谢！老师请看OG2019的第736题，由于我在答疑器上没找到这题，只能从相似关键词的题目里借个楼！ 这题，我排了AB, 因为题目似乎不需要转折。在剩下的CDE里不同的就是后面的that ultimately proves/ultimately proving/that will ultimately prove，觉得这3个之间的差别可能是that是强调修饰，而proving强调prove这个动作，所以选了D.然而答案是E, 这个答案里的将来时更加奇怪，请问老师，我的思路ok吗？像这种情况可以怎样排除呢？！谢谢！

我想知道b选项的 if it were to do so 中it指代的事the polar ice吗？ do代指melt吗？如果说polar ice变成了polar ices，it是不是要改成they？

错选A。因为有and所以前面有so后面也有so？可是有时候也不一定非得这样阿。不能作为判断依据吧。有其他的理由选B不选A吗？

b选项中的were it to do so是什么意思 什么作用

根据and前后一致性排除C,D,E A,B不会比了 感觉A中so前面那个逗号不太好。但B中were it to do so也不太理解
